COVID19 and Wearing a Mask
Updated: Jul 16, 2020
On Tuesday, July 14th, Venice City Council needed one more vote to pass a mask ordinance. I would have been that vote.
Wearing a mask is a sign of respect for those around you. Medical experts agree that one of the most important actions we can take to control the spread of the COVID19 pandemic is to wear a mask. The current council voted to avoid this responsibility and instead pass it along to local businesses. We should not be handing the burden of public safety and health onto local merchants. This is the responsibility of our government and elected officials.
I will be there to protect your health and well-being. This is why I am asking for your support and your vote.
